Society has created a mold for its members. In terms of your career, that can mean “do your job, if you are unhappy or unfulfilled, live with it, you’ll collect a salary and you’ll be safe”. This mold, if you conform to it, may or may not keep you safe. The “safety” given to previous generations is not there any more. Promises are not being kept. If you cannot rely on society to keep you safe, whom can you rely on? The answer is you – rely on yourself. You have to create your own safety. It may not be a defined path. Rather, your safety relies on belief in yourself, focus and discipline. Breaking the mold unleashes your creativity and possibilities. Go ahead – break out. The mold is now only an illusion.

No one can take your power to make choices away from you. As you acknowledge the choices you make, your power will grow. What choices have you made recently at work?
